We have fulfilled a dream of bringing multiple schools together for our first ever live “Empowered YOU” event!
7 schools from across Leeds and Bradford gathered together to sing as one and what an amazing time we had!
It was truly epic and transformational for everyone involved.
Our Excel choir led the way from the stage, and our wonderful team, including Rap Game winner Graft, and Rugby League legend Stevie Ward brought their own inspirational magic to the stage.
We are sooo proud of all the children who came and gave their hearts and voices to the event.
A huge thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund for making our dream become a reality by giving us the funding to make it happen!
It was unforgettable.

We are so proud and still buzzing from Saturday nights semi-final performance.
We are so happy that our essence, courage and spirit were captured by Britain’s Got Talent and their team. 2020 has been the most challenging year EVER yet these kids from Music Federation Leeds stood up and delivered a knockout performance of our song “I Am”.
Performing outdoors is never an easy task yet these guys stood and delivered brilliantly.
To know that our message has gone global is incredible, and we can say with all our heart, that miracles happen when you believe!
Thank you to everyone who cheered us on, we hope we made you proud!
This project was as much fun as it looks! We had the BEST time with these awesome kids at this very special school in Bradford. We really wanted to help them create a song that captured that unique energy and spirit – built around their motto of “Believe and Succeed” and running the race of life with courage and endurance. With a “School of Rock” feel – we totally love the finished piece. Enjoy!
Here is the official music video for Light Up For Leeds. Made in partnership with Child Friendly Leeds and sponsored by Shine and Crisp Thinking – the final film features footage shot at our incredible showcase at the First Direct Arena back in July at the Teach First Conference.
It features children from Low Road & Windmill Music Federation, Shakespeare, Middleton and Rothwell Primary schools.

We received an awesome e-mail recently from a school that enjoyed our “I Go” songpack that we released back in September. We really were touched by these words and to know our music is having an impact far and wide. Thank you so much Miss Haines and all the kids at St Marys and St Peters CofE Primary School.
Hi Danny, I got in touch with you a little while ago after coming across ‘I Go’ quite by accident on Facebook. It was so nice to come across an upbeat song with such a great message that didn’t have that typical ‘school’ feel to it. At the end of last year I taught it to my Junior Choir – a great bunch of 55 Y3 & 4 children who have absolutely loved learning it. Just before Christmas I invited all their parents into our singing assembly where they performed the song in front of 400 other KS2 children. We made a video of the performance for you by way of saying thank you for inspiring us. The children could not have enjoyed learning the song more! Every rehearsal has left us all beaming and so many members of staff walking past the hall have stopped in their tracks to listen to the choir singing your song. Here’s the Dropbox link – I hope you’re able to view it ok. As a music teacher, song-writer and performer myself, I must say that teaching this song has been one of the most uplifting things I’ve done in my 11 years of teaching. ‘I Go’ is so well-written and that backing track that just grooves!!! So thank you for all you have done and are doing to make music in schools such a joy. You have had the children of St Mary’s & St Peter’s singing with their hearts as well as their voices. With very best wishes, Kelly Haines (Music Co-Ordinator) St Mary’s & St Peter’s CE Primary School Somerset Road Teddington TW11 8RX”
We are very excited right now! Firstly – we are creating our brand new “Class Dynamix Shop” and our classic track “Bullying Stop” can be downloaded right now as part of an awesome teacher pack. With Anti-Bullying week fast approaching – why not treat your school and get your hands on the pack today?
Our Wharfe Valley Trust project is under way and we are very excited as we prepare for our combined performance at Boston Spa High School at the end of February. We are working with 7 primary schools in and around the Wetherby area – focusing on anti-bullying awareness whilst bringing all the schools together to unite powerfully as one collective voice.
Tuesday May 25th saw 70 children from 4 Leeds schools to unite at Headingley once again to deliver 2 incredibly powerful performances at an awards ceremony for Children’s Services. The children were from Middleton Primary, Shakespeare Primary and Windmill/Low Rd Music Federation.
Performing 2 of our “big hits” from 2015-16 “One Leeds” and “Turn On The Lights”, the kids received a rousing reception once again for their passionate display.
We are so proud of them all and we cannot believe the incredible year of performances we have witnessed!
The powerful and super-catchy Turn On The Lights song is now available as a FREE download for all Leed’s Schools! The license covers all “in-school” usage including assemblies, choirs, concerts – basically anything you want on your school premises!
You can <a href=”http://classdynamix.com/turn-on-the-lights/”>download the songpack HERE</a>
So here we are. Last Friday night – April 1st 2016 – saw 120 children from across 6 Leeds Primary Schools make a defiant stance against domestic violence by performing this song together in front of 17,000 fans at Leeds Rhinos vs Hull KR at Headingley stadium.
The 6 schools taking part were: Windmill and Low Road Music Federation, Sharp Lane, Middleton, Middleton St Mary’s and Shakespeare Primary. Their performance was not only electric and passionate – but they went about their whole business inside the stadium with great maturity and professionalism. We are so proud of all these young people who showed the courage to deliver this important message. Everybody needs and deserves a home which is safe and nourishing. Let’s work together to make that happen. Let’s “turn on the lights”.
We are extremely excited to announce that we will be performing one of our song’s on April 1st 2016 at Leeds Rhino’s vs Hull KR at Headingley Stadium. The performance will feature 100 children from across 3 Leeds schools who will be making a stance against domestic violence. The project is a collaboration between ourselves, Leeds Rhino’s Foundation, Behind Closed Doors, Leeds Council and Family Valued. More news to follow but safe to say…we are totally buzzing!
